Lempuyang Temple

Tirta Gangga

Tirta Gangga is a former royal water palace located in Karangasem, East Bali. Built in 1946 by the King of Karangasem, this beautiful garden features ornate pools, stone carvings, fountains, and lush gardens. The name "Tirta Gangga" means "holy water of the Ganges", reflecting its spiritual significance for Balinese Hindus. One of the highlights of Tirta Gangga is the stepping stone pathway across a large koi fish pond, allowing visitors to walk over the water while admiring the traditional Balinese architecture and landscape. The site is a peaceful retreat, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beauty of Bali’s cultural heritage.

Taman Ujung, also known as Taman Ujung Water Palace, is a historical site and former royal palace located in Karangasem, Bali. Built in 1909 during the reign of the last King of Karangasem, it served as a retreat and a place for receiving important guests. The palace features a unique architectural blend of Balinese, European, and Chinese influences.

The complex consists of large ponds connected by elegant bridges and pathways, with pavilions and gazebos surrounded by lush gardens. One of the main highlights is the elevated viewpoint, which offers breathtaking views of the palace grounds, the ocean, and Mount Agung in the background.

Taman Ujung is a peaceful and scenic destination, perfect for sightseeing, photography, and learning about Bali's royal heritage. Despite suffering damage from Mount Agung's eruption in 1963 and an earthquake in 1979, it has been restored and remains a beautiful cultural landmark in Bali.
